Reflective Narative:
I learned a lot of important Japanese grammar points in this course as well as a few kanji pertaining to every day reading and writing. In class, we worked on perfecting speech accuracy by conversing regularly and practicing orally in groups. There were 3 chapter tests, all of which covered a different unit of Japanese lifestyles. Aside from these tests, there were also various vocabulary quizzes and interactive projects. The interactive projects allowed us to put learned grammar points to use, as well as practice translating by writing scripts in Japanese. There were a few culture days in class that allowed us sing together in Japanese, and we also got to take a peek into the world of calligraphy through our international senpai.
