Reflective Narative:
This course allowed me to fulfill my MLO 3 Secondary Culture requirement. This class was more than just Spanish linguistics; it also helped to see patterns in other languages as well. It opened my eyes to how different social groups can distort a language into something completely new, yet the same. Because Spanish is so diverse, we were able to learn different vocabulary from just our classmates alone. It was a different experience for me, personally, and I'm glad I had the opportunity to come together with others through a love of language and the willingness to dissect it in order to learn more from it. Mostly paper based.
